Min Hee Jin Reveals Nearly $2 Million in Legal Fees Amid HYBE Dispute, Says She May Have to Sell Her Home

Former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin revealed she might need to sell her house to cover legal fees in an ongoing lawsuit with HYBE.

Speaking at the “2024 Hyundai Card Da Vinci Motel” event in Itaewon on September 27, Min discussed the burden of her lawsuit costs, stating that legal fees amounted to 2.3 billion KRW (approx. $1.7 million). She expressed her frustration, noting, “I may have to sell my house for this. I’ve been wondering if I kept my house just for this reason.” She also remarked on how grateful she was that her family was doing well, given the tough situation.

Min emphasized her determination to win the lawsuit, even stating, “I will endure as much as I can. This is a historic case, and I plan to document the entire process in a documentary.” She reflected on the public’s reaction to her previous press conference, particularly feeling hurt by how it turned into a meme despite being a serious matter for her.

The lawsuit revolves around allegations related to a power struggle over ADOR’s management. Min has been in the spotlight after holding a press conference where her attire and strong language drew attention.

She explained that these behaviors stem from a long-standing struggle with panic disorder and how she was advised to express herself, even with strong language, to cope with the stress.

At the event, Min delivered a 100-minute lecture titled “The Producer Who Breaks the K-pop Formula: Min Hee Jin’s Freestyle” and reflected on her experiences in the industry, further emphasizing the importance of maintaining her personal integrity despite ongoing challenges.
