Min Hee Jin Ultimately Steps Down As ADOR’s CEO, Why Did This Happen Now? And Who Is Replacing Her?
Group NewJeans’ agency ADOR has replaced its CEO in a shocking turn of events.
On the 27th of August, ADOR stated via an official press release that they have held a board meeting and the CEO has been changed.
The new ADOR CEO is named Kim Joo-young, you can see her photo below!
The Former CEO Min Hee Jin is under suspicion of covering up workplace harassment and sexual harassment. In the midst of this, former ADOR employee B, who is the party involved in the incident, recently announced plans to file criminal charges against Min Hee Jin for violating labor laws and the Personal Information Protection Act, as well as civil and criminal charges for spreading false information. ADOR executive A will also be reported to the Seoul Employment and Labor Office for unfair labor practices and misconduct.
Below is the official statement from ADOR regarding the replacement of Min Hee Jin:
Our company held a board meeting on the 27th and appointed Kim Joo-young, ADOR’s internal director, as the new CEO.
Kim Joo-young, the new CEO, is an HR expert with experience in various industries and will be responsible for stabilizing the organization and reorganizing ADOR’s internal affairs.
Former CEO Min Hee Jin will step down from the CEO position but will remain as an internal director of ADOR. She will continue to be in charge of producing NewJeans.
Additionally, ADOR’s internal organization will separate production and management. This has been a consistent multi-label operation principle applied to all other labels, but ADOR was an exception where the CEO oversaw both production and management.
With this restructuring, ADOR plans to spare no support for NewJeans’ growth and greater success.
