NCT’s Jaehyun Confirms Military Enlistment Date

NCT member Jaehyun ( Jung Jaehyun) will be enlisting in the military very soon!

SM Entertainment confirmed on September 26 that Jaehyun has applied for the Army Band and has received his acceptance notice from the Military Manpower Administration. Thus, Jaehyun will begin his mandatory military service on November 4, 2024.

In their official statement, SM mentioned that no special events will be held on the day of his enlistment due to safety concerns and the large gathering of soldiers and families. They also asked fans to continue supporting Jaehyun until he returns safely after completing his service.

Jaehyun has been active in multiple NCT units, including NCT 127, NCT U, and NCT DoJaeJung. In August, he also released his first solo album, J, showcasing his unique musical style.

“Jaehyun of NCT has applied to the Army Band and was notified of his acceptance by the Military Manpower Administration today. He will begin his mandatory military service as an active-duty soldier on November 4.
No special events will be held on the day of his enlistment due to concerns about safety and crowd management.
Please continue to show unwavering support and love for Jaehyun until he returns from his military service in good health.
Thank you.”

Jaehyun is expected to serve his mandatory military duty for about 18 months, as is customary for all South Korean men.
