New Report Of Soyeon Allegedly Departing Cube Entertainment Goes Viral + Cube Response

(G)I-DLE’s Jeon Soyeon’s pending contract renewals are the attention of news again after this report!

On the 25^th of October, a media outlet reported that Jeon Soyeon’s contract renewal with Cube Entertainment recently fell through. In response, Cube Entertainment stated to OSEN, “We are still in discussions with Jeon Soyeon regarding her contract renewal,” adding, “Her scheduled activities will proceed as planned.”

Jeon Soyeon debuted as a solo artist in November 2017 and joined (G)I-DLE in May 2018. In August, during (G)I-DLE’s solo concert, Soyeon stirred up discussions about her contract status by performing her solo song with lyrics like “November contract ending” and “No one can stop me.”

At that time, Cube downplayed it and even added in a statement that they were not consulted on this rap part but Soyeon expressed dissatisfaction, saying, She continued, “This performance was no exception. I didn’t write lies, nor did I hide it from the company. We rehearsed it multiple times together. Despite working together for over ten years and not harboring negative feelings towards the company based on media reports alone, I still felt the company’s response was lacking.”

Cube later clarified, confirming that the mentioned date was indeed the contract end and that they were working toward a smooth renewal discussion.
