NewJeans To Take A Break For The Time Being, ADOR Explains Why
The group NewJeans is entering a period of rest.
On the 23rd of July, their agency ADOR announced, “NewJeans will take some time to prepare to return with a new look.”
NewJeans has recently been active in both Japan and South Korea with tracks such as “How Sweet” and “Super Natural.”
The agency stated, “After successfully concluding this hectic period of activities, NewJeans will take a break for recharging and prepare to return with a new image. However, during this break, they will surprise fans with unexpected schedules and content.”
In May, NewJeans faced plagiarism allegations concerning their pre-released track “Bubblegum,” which was accused of copying “Easier Said Than Done” by the British band Shakatak.
In June, Shakatak hired a domestic law firm and sent a certified letter to ADOR, demanding the cessation of “Bubblegum” usage and compensation for damages. ADOR responded, “We did not use Shakatak’s composition without permission and requested a credible analysis report to substantiate this claim.”
