Famous Kpop Idol Shocks With Past Stories Of Her Strict Trainee Days
Danielle of NewJeans, now rebranded as ‘NJZ,’ surprised fans with a live broadcast where she reflected on her trainee days.
In the early hours of the 16th of March, Danielle opened up to the fandom, Bunnies, about her past experiences during an official account live stream. She shared, “Before eating, I had to take a photo of my meal and send it to my manager. Even before going to the restroom, I had to leave a message,” listing some of the ‘rules’ she had to follow. However, she added, “When I met CEO Min Heejin, my mindset changed. (The CEO) was extremely shocked when she heard about my trainee life.”
Danielle also added that she thought they had to follow the rules otherwise they were afraid they’d be cut if they didn’t comply.
Earlier, on the 7th, Danielle solidified her support for Min Heejin when she appeared in court for the first hearing on the ‘preservation of agency status and injunction to prohibit advertisement contract signing’ case. She stated, “We are highly sensitive to the well-being of each member and worry about injuries or illnesses. We may stand on stage as five, but (including CEO Min Heejin), we are a team of six. Seeing the CEO being attacked and false reports flooding in made me afraid of losing her. I want to continue working with her.”
Meanwhile, it was reported on the 18th of March that NewJeans, who announced their new name ‘NJZ’ on the 7th of last month, filed a trademark application on the 6th for two ‘NJZ’ logos and one symbol across ten product categories. Notably, the five members—Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein—were listed as applicants, an unusual move in the industry.
NJZ is currently in legal battle with ADOR to prove the validity or invalidity of their contracts.
