Popular Female Idols Leave Agency After 10 Years, To Still Be Part Of Group Promotions, What Careers Do They Plan On Pursuing Now?

The agency of popular girl group Oh My Girl has announced the departure of Arin and YooA from their company, however, the idols will remain part of the group!

On May 8, WM Entertainment released a statement to announce the news. They wrote, “We’ve recently renewed contracts with Oh My Girl members Hyojung, Mimi, Seunghee, and Yubin. Based on the deep trust built over the past 10 years, the four members have agreed to renew their contracts following the first renewal in 2022. We’re truly happy to continue this special relationship and deeply thank the members for their meaningful decision.”

As for YooA and Arin, they have decided to end their exclusive contracts after thorough discussions. The agency stated, “Although their individual exclusive contracts have ended, YooA and Arin will continue to participate in Oh My Girl as members. We sincerely thank YooA and Arin for being with us for the past 10 years, and we wholeheartedly support their new beginnings in their individual activities.”

As Oh My Girl’s YooA leaves her agency WM Entertainment, she shared her future activity plans through a heartfelt handwritten letter to fans. In the letter, she announced her plans to pursue an acting career. She wrote, “As an actress YooA, I’m preparing to communicate more with all of you through more activities under a new home. I’m taking this step with half fear and half excitement, gathering my courage.”

Arin has also released a letter to the group’s fan cafe and essentially said the group remains together and she’s grateful for all the love she’s received. She also talked about how excited she is for the next chapter of her career.
