Member Of Famous Girl Group Sues YG Entertainment Founder For Over A Trillion Won, Agency Says They Can’t Control Her
Group 2NE1’s Park Bom has revealed that she has filed a lawsuit against YG Entertainment’s executive producer Yang Hyun Suk.
On the 22nd of October, Park Bom shared on her Instagram, “From 박봄, From Bom Park,” revealing the contents of her lawsuit against producer Yang Hyun Suk.
In the complaint, Park Bom was listed as the plaintiff, and YG Entertainment’s Yang Hyun Suk was listed as the defendant.
Park Bom stated that the charges against the defendant were “fraud and embezzlement.”
She said, “The defendant did not pay the rightful profits generated from all activities in which the plaintiff participated, including music releases, performances, broadcasts, advertisements, events, lyric writing, and composing.” She added, “The estimated amount is approximately 1002003004006007001000034 ‘64272e trillion won, which is the profit the plaintiff rightfully deserves. Nevertheless, YG Entertainment did not provide any settlement details and did not make a single legitimate payment to the plaintiff. As a result, the plaintiff suffered severe financial loss and mental distress, which clearly constitutes acts of fraud and embezzlement.”
In particular, attention was drawn to the fact that the amount Park Bom claimed as damages was astronomical.
When reached out for a comment, her agency said they cannot control her actions and that they’re looking into the lawsuit she filed.
Meanwhile, Park Bom has been inactive in 2NE1’s activities due to health issues. In August, her agency stated, “We would like to inform you that Park Bom will not be able to participate in 2NE1’s future schedules. As she has recently received medical advice that she needs sufficient rest and stability, this decision was inevitably made after deep discussions.”
