Famous K-pop Idol-Actor Cancels Part of Fanmeeting Tour in China — Here’s Why
Singer and actor Park Ji Hoon has cancelled part of his fan meeting tour in the Chinese-speaking region.
YY Entertainment posted a notice titled “Notice Regarding the 2026 Park Ji Hoon China Fan Meeting – RE:FLECT in Shanghai” on Bstage on August 5.
The event has been cancelled. The agency stated, “The Shanghai fan meeting, which had been scheduled for September, will not be held due to unavoidable circumstances.”
The agency bowed to local fans, with a representative saying, “We sincerely apologize for the confusion this has caused,” and asking for fans’ “generous understanding.”
“RE:FLECT” is Park Ji Hoon’s first fan-con tour in about seven years. It kicked off in Tokyo in May and has since toured Seoul, Ho Chi Minh City, Taipei, and other cities.
The reason for the Shanghai cancellation has not been disclosed. Earlier, the venue for the Manila leg of the tour was also changed due to unforeseen circumstances; that stop is now set to take place in Macau on August 8.
Meanwhile, Park Ji Hoon has scored back-to-back hits recently — his film “The King’s Warden” drew over 16 million moviegoers, making it the second-highest-grossing Korean film of all time, and his drama “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier” was also a hit.
