One Of The Most Beloved Korean Comedians Reportedly Diagnosed With Breast Cancer, Agency Responds
Comedian Park Mi Sun has reportedly been diagnosed with breast cancer.
On August 22, one media outlet reported that the beloved comedian is battling breast cancer after getting diagnosed earlier this year. The report shocked fans who had no idea it was this serious.
Her agency Cube Entertainment admitted to Daily Sports on the 22nd of August that Park Mi Sun is battling an illness, but stated, “It is difficult to confirm the details as it involves personal medical information. She is currently taking a break due to health reasons.”
Earlier this year, Park Mi Sun suddenly halted her broadcasting activities. Since then, concerns about her health arose, and her husband Lee Bong Won mentioned on a variety show in June, “(Park Mi Sun) is receiving proper treatment and resting well. She is taking this opportunity to recharge fully.”
Park Mi Sun debuted in 1988 as an MBC open recruitment comedienne and married KBS open recruitment comedian Lee Bong Won in 1993. The couple has one son and one daughter.
