Known Korean Singer Reveals Why He Did Not Hold A Wedding Ceremony To Girlfriend Of 9 Years
Paul Kim shared why he and his wife decided not to hold a traditional wedding ceremony.
On the January 20 episode of SBS’s “Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 – You Are My Destiny”, the singer, known as the “husband of your ears,” appeared as a special MC.
The MCs expressed surprise at Paul Kim’s marital status, saying, “We didn’t know you were married. Did you get married secretly?” Paul Kim, who announced his marriage to his girlfriend of nine years last April, admitted, “Since we didn’t have a wedding ceremony, people often don’t realize I’m married.”

He revealed that he met his wife through a blind date and explained why they skipped the wedding ceremony. “Preparing for a wedding requires so much effort. So, I suggested to my wife, ‘Since it’s a marriage between the two of us, why not focus on each other instead?’ and she readily agreed,” he shared, surprising everyone.
Paul Kim also revealed that he and his wife personally purchased a wedding dress and took their own photos. MC Kim Gura jokingly remarked, “That’s something couples who are remarrying often do,” eliciting laughter from the studio.
When asked about revealing his wife to the public, Paul Kim said, “I have no plans to do so unless there’s a special reason.” However, Kim Sook teasingly suggested, “Appearing on this show might mean you’re considering featuring your wife in the future.”
Paul Kim added, “My mother-in-law is a big fan of ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2’.”
