Known Kpop Idol To Take Hiatus To Undergo Surgery After Discovering Benign Tumor In His Head
PENTAGON member Yanan has revealed that he has a benign tumor in his head and is scheduled to undergo surgery this August.
According to Taiwanese media outlet ETtoday recently, Yanan held a live broadcast on the 22nd of July to communicate with his fans.
During the broadcast, Yanan shared that he won’t be able to film dramas for the time being due to health reasons. He revealed that a benign tumor has developed in his head and that it’s an issue he has actually been dealing with for quite some time.
He explained that he was supposed to have surgery a long time ago but couldn’t find the right timing due to needing to finish drama filming and other related work afterward.
However, he confessed that the tumor recently started to grow rapidly, causing swelling and pain, which ultimately led to his decision to undergo surgery. He added that he will shave his head and is scheduled to have the operation this August.
Yanan also mentioned that he will take a few weeks to recover and reassured his concerned fans by saying, “It’s not a serious illness, so I hope you won’t worry too much.”
Yanan debuted as a member of PENTAGON in 2016 and has been active as an actor in China since his exclusive contract with Cube Entertainment ended in 2023.
