Rapper San E Forwarded To Prosecution On Charges Of Aggravated Assault
Rapper San E has been forwarded to the prosecution without detention on charges of aggravated assault.
On January 22, the Seoul Mapo Police Station announced that they had sent Jeong (San E) to the prosecution on January 10 for aggravated assault. According to the police, a report was filed on December 28 at approximately 8:30 PM, alleging that San E assaulted a passerby at a park in Mapo-gu, Seoul.
San E’s father was also booked on charges of assaulting the passerby, identified as A, but this case was closed after an agreement was reached between the parties.
Initially, San E was booked on charges of special assault, but the charges were upgraded to aggravated assault after A’s injuries were confirmed. A reportedly suffered a laceration near the eye and damage to some teeth.

Police who arrived at the scene conducted initial investigations on both San E and A before allowing them to leave, later deciding to book the case based on their preliminary findings. San E’s representatives issued a brief statement, saying, “We have nothing further to say. We apologize.”
Meanwhile, San E married a non-celebrity two years his junior in a private ceremony in 2022.
