Famous Idol-Actress Subdues An Armed Robber Who Broke Into Her Home, Agency Explains What Happened
A man in his 30s who broke into the home of singer-actress Nana and attempted a robbery has been arrested by the police, and Nana’s side stated, “Both Nana and her mother are in a situation where absolute rest is required.”
On the 15th of November, Nana’s agency said, “Early this morning, an incident occurred in which an armed robber carrying a weapon broke into Nana’s residence. The robber entered the home with a weapon, and because of this, it was an extremely dangerous situation in which both Nana and her mother could have suffered serious harm.”
They continued, “Due to the robber’s physical attack, Nana’s mother suffered a severe injury and lost consciousness, and Nana also suffered physical injuries while escaping the crisis situation. Both are currently in a condition that requires treatment and complete rest.”
They added, “The specific details of the incident cannot be revealed as the matter is under investigation, and additional information will follow the announcements of the investigative authorities. All facts are currently being thoroughly investigated by the police, and our company is faithfully cooperating with the investigative agency.”
Furthermore, they said, “Since the stability of the victims and their family is the top priority, reckless speculation, spreading of false information, and content that invades privacy related to this incident can cause serious secondary harm, so we ask for your restraint.”
That morning, Guri Police stated that they had arrested and were investigating a man in his 30s, A, on charges of attempted special robbery.
A is suspected of breaking into a luxury villa in Acheon-dong, Guri, around 6 a.m. that day with a weapon, threatening the residents and demanding valuables. At the time of the break-in, Nana and her mother were inside the home, and the two reportedly struggled with A, subdued him, and immediately called the police.
When police and fire authorities arrived, A was found to be injured, and he was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Nana debuted in 2009 with After School’s single “Because of You,” gaining public recognition through activities in the group’s units Orange Caramel and After School Red.
