The Shocking Disturbing Story Of A Rookie Girl Group CEO Allegedly Sexually Assaulting A Member + MADEIN’s Agency Responds
A report has been published about a rookie girl group member allegedly being sexually assaulted by their agency’s CEO.
On November 22, JTBC’s Case Chief reported that a member of a multinational girl group, which debuted in September this year, was sexually assaulted by the CEO after being caught with her boyfriend at the group’s dorm. The CEO allegedly reprimanded her and demanded she act as his “girlfriend for a day.”
In an audio recording shared by JTBC, the victim claimed, “I asked, ‘Please let me finish this activity, that’s my wish,’ and the CEO responded, ‘If I grant your wish, will you grant mine? My wish is for you to be my girlfriend for a day. Will you do it?'” She tearfully detailed how the CEO attempted to kiss her and forcibly licked her neck and ears, despite her resistance. She also described prolonged unwanted advances lasting two hours.
In contrast, the agency denied the allegations, claiming, “The member herself suggested acting as a one-day girlfriend to continue her activities with the team.” They asserted that a video of the two traveling together showed no inappropriate behavior and maintained their relationship seemed normal.
Further complicating the situation, audio from a meeting between the CEO and the victim’s parents was also revealed. In it, the CEO admitted, “It is true I made a mistake.”
This incident has sparked outrage, with the public demanding accountability and justice for the victim.
Later, rumors circulated that the group in question was MADEIN and the agency in question is 143 Entertainment. It was also speculated that the member who brought the allegations against the CEO is Gaeun. As she was put under hiatus for reported health issues a while back.
As a result, the agency ended up issuing a statement to address the situation, they said,
We would like to share our official stance regarding the issue reported on JTBC’s Case Chief yesterday.
First, there was no sexual harassment or any other form of inappropriate physical contact under coercion between the mentioned member and the company’s representative. The reported content is not true.
Additionally, the claims related to the member’s stay at the hotel also involved being with acquaintances, all gathered in one place together.
The reported content is based on accounts inaccurately relayed by individuals other than the member in question. We once again clearly state that this issue is baseless and unfounded.
We sincerely apologize for causing concern due to this unexpected and unfortunate incident.
