Famous Idol-Actor Announces Military Enlistment, To Leave In July
Rowoon, an actor and former member of the boy group SF9, will enlist in July.
Rowoon’s agency FNC Entertainment stated on the 27th of May, “Rowoon will enter the training center on July 21 to fulfill his mandatory military service as an active-duty soldier in the Army.”
Before enlisting, Rowoon will hold a fan meeting titled “Before Blooming” on May 31 at the Donghae Culture and Arts Center at Kwangwoon University in Nowon-gu, Seoul, to connect with fans ahead of his enlistment.
Meanwhile, Rowoon debuted in 2016 as a member of the boy group SF9, where he served as the lead vocalist. In 2023, after the expiration of his initial contract with FNC Entertainment, he withdrew from the team. After renewing his contract, he has been focusing solely on his acting career.
Rowoon has appeared in various works, including KBS2’s “School 2017,” SBS’s “Where Stars Land,” MBC dramas “Extraordinary You” and “Find Me in Your Memory,” KBS2’s “The King’s Affection,” and and many more. He is currently awaiting the release of the Disney+ original series “The Murky Stream.”
