One Of The Biggest Rising 5th Gen Groups Just Suddenly Added A New Member

Singer Kim Jaejoong’s girl group SAY MY NAME is transitioning from a 7-member group to an 8-member group, in a move that surprised fans.

On July 10, Incode Entertainment announced via social media, “Starting today, SAY MY NAME will officially be restructured into an 8-member group,” and introduced new member SHUIE. While no detailed information about SHUIE was shared, a photo showcasing her pure and delicate visuals was released.

The agency added, “As the group undergoes this transition, we deeply empathize with the various emotions fans may be experiencing. We will approach you with even greater sincerity.”

They continued, “We will continue to protect SAY MY NAME’s identity and teamwork. We ask for your continued support and warm attention.”

SAY MY NAME is a rookie girl group produced by Kim Jaejoong, and they officially debuted in October last year with the track “Say My Name.” The group is currently preparing for a comeback in August.

The announcement took fans by surprise. The several teasers leading up to the announcement was not thought to be one that adds a new member to a group that is 9 months into its debut. Fans reactions remain mixed as many expressed their surprise at the edition.
