Seohyun To Make Her Debut On Stage As A Violinist

Seohyun, of the group Girls’ Generation, will take the stage as a violinist.

Her agency, Kumi ENT, announced recently that Seohyun will appear as a violin collaborator at the Soul Philharmonic Orchestra’s 8th Regular Concert, to be held on March 13 at Lotte Concert Hall in Seoul.

Introducing herself as a “beginner violinist” who started learning the violin as a hobby about five months ago, this will be Seohyun’s first time performing in a concert.

At the performance, Seohyun will play Vittorio Monti’s “Csárdás.” The Soul Philharmonic Orchestra, which will perform alongside her, is composed of members who are not professional performers.

Seohyun said, “Rather than the perfection of a professional performer, I want to show the pure passion of someone who genuinely enjoys music,” adding, “Through my challenge, I hope many people will feel closer to classical music and discover new joy.”

In addition to Seohyun’s collaborative stage, the Soul Philharmonic Orchestra will also perform Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5 and Vivaldi’s “Spring” from “The Four Seasons.” The concert will be conducted by Jo Sang Wook.

Seohyun debuted in 2007 as a member of Girls’ Generation. She has also been active as an actress, appearing in dramas such as “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo” and many more.
