Famous K-pop Idols Reveal Military Enlistment Plans

SEVENTEEN members DK and Vernon have announced their upcoming military enlistment dates.

PLEDIS Entertainment shared the news, confirming both members will begin their mandatory service in the coming weeks.

DK is scheduled to enlist for active duty in the Army on September 8. He will take part in all previously scheduled official activities before his enlistment. The agency asked fans and media to refrain from visiting the enlistment site in person that day, noting that numerous enlistees and their families are expected to be present.

Vernon will begin his military service on August 20. He will also complete his scheduled official activities beforehand. The agency likewise asked fans to refrain from visiting the site of his enlistment ceremony, as well as the location of his alternative service, on that day.

Once DK and Vernon begin their service, they will be unable to take part in SEVENTEEN’s group activities. The agency noted, however, that the two will continue to connect with fandom CARAT through content prepared in advance, and encouraged fans to leave messages of support for the members on Weverse.

PLEDIS Entertainment asked for continued love and support for DK and Vernon until they complete their service and return safely, adding that the agency will continue to support its artists every step of the way.
