Once Famous Singer Posts For The 1st Time In 9 Years Updating On Her Whereabouts After Past Prostitution Controversy
Singer G.NA has shared her feelings and revealed her current situation for the first time in nine years since her prostitution controversy.
On the 2nd of September, G.NA posted a lengthy message in English on her Instagram.
Saying it had been a long time since she last greeted fans, G.NA wrote, “I have kept this story buried in my heart for a long time. While working in the Korean entertainment industry, I had an experience that changed my life greatly.”
She continued, “What hurt the most wasn’t the incident itself, but the silence. I didn’t disappear to hide, but to survive.”
Gina, now saying she is no longer the girl trapped in fear, expressed, “I am no longer defined by my past, but by the path I choose now. I have healed, I have grown, and now I am reclaiming my voice. This is not to reopen old wounds, but to move forward with honesty and love.”
She added, “To the fans who believed in me until the end, I sincerely thank you. To those who left, I understand. And to everyone who had to remain silent out of shame, your story is not over yet.”
G.NA debuted in 2010 with “I’ll Back Off So You Can Live Better” and rose to fame with hits such as “Black & White” and “Top Girl,” becoming one of the representative female solo artists of her time.
However, in 2015 she was indicted on prostitution charges and halted all activities.
At the time, she was accused of having sexual relations with a Korean-American businessman and receiving money. Gina claimed she was in a romantic relationship with him and had borrowed money from an acquaintance, but in 2016 the court sentenced her to a fine for violating the Act on the Punishment of Arrangement of Commercial Sex Acts.
