“Single’s Inferno 5” Contestant Kim Min Ji Denies Plastic Surgery Rumors But Admits To Getting Veneers, Botox And Fillers

Kim Min Ji, who gained attention through the Netflix reality dating show Single’s Inferno 5, candidly shared her experiences with orthodontic treatment and cosmetic procedures.

Recently, a new video was uploaded to Kim Min Ji’s YouTube channel. In the video, she answered fans’ questions about skincare, beauty treatments, and cosmetic procedures.

She began by saying, “I truly haven’t had any plastic surgery,” adding, “I want to show that you can become prettier through treatments and self-care alone.”

According to Kim Min Ji, the biggest factor behind her appearance change was orthodontic treatment. She revealed, “I had braces twice—once in high school and once in college—for a total of four years.”

She recalled being shocked when a younger male acquaintance told her, “Noona, I think you’d be pretty if you just got braces.” After hearing that, she visited an orthodontic specialist again. Kim Min Ji explained that she had eight teeth extracted in total, including four wisdom teeth and four front teeth.

“I had a lot of space for my teeth to move back into, so I think my lower face became smaller,” she said.

She also shared why she later chose to get veneers. “When I first saw myself on camera, my teeth looked like they were sticking out too much. I started covering my mouth when I laughed, and even advertisers on commercial shoots told me not to smile. That’s what made me decide to get the procedure.”

She added that she is currently very satisfied with the results. Kim Min Ji also openly discussed treatments related to her facial shape and nose.

She named chin filler as the procedure she recommends the most, saying, “I get it about once every two years.” She also revealed that she has received Botox for her chin muscles to relax them.

However, she clarified that she does not get jaw Botox or forehead fillers. Regarding her nose, she explained, “I had a prominent hump nose, so I got 1cc of nose filler to smooth out the uneven areas,” emphasizing that it was a cosmetic treatment rather than surgery.

Finally, Kim Min Ji spoke about insecurities she had while appearing on “Single’s Inferno 5.” “Before entering the filming set, I went to a clinic because I wanted to look prettier, but I ended up receiving a treatment that didn’t go well,” she admitted.

“My face became uneven and swollen, so I really didn’t like how I looked on the show. I went into filming while not being satisfied with my appearance, and it was difficult to reverse the changes afterward. I think choosing the right clinic is extremely important,” she said.
