SM Entertainment To Produce 1st Ever UK Boy Group, Check Out The Details Of The Show

The growth process of SM Entertainment’s first boy group to launch in the UK will be revealed through the British public broadcaster BBC.

The boy group that SM is unveiling for the first time in the UK is a five-member group formed in collaboration with M&B, a North American unified subsidiary of SM and Kakao Entertainment, an entertainment company. M&B directly cast the members in the UK, while SM provided expertise in music, choreography, vocals, and other aspects of K-pop.

The growth process of SM’s first UK boy group, which is set to debut in the second half of the year, will be featured in a six-part TV series titled “Made in Korea: The K-Pop Experience.” It is expected to be broadcast on BBC One and BBC iPlayer this summer, attracting the attention of not only the local audience in the UK but also global music fans.

The TV series will showcase the K-pop training process and the journey of becoming musicians as the UK boy group stays in Seoul for 100 days. The Artist Development Center, a department responsible for casting and training at SM, as well as world-renowned choreographers and composers, participated in the training process.
