SM Entertainment Invites Its Founder Lee Soo Man To Attend Its 30th Anniversary Concert, He Says He’s Not Attending

Former SM Entertainment Executive Producer and founder Lee Soo Man will not attend the “SM 30th Anniversary Celebration Concert.”

A representative from Lee Soo Man’s side stated, “Lee Soo Man will not participate in ‘SMTOWN Live 2025.’ He learned about the invitation through news reports and later confirmed that the invitation was sent via registered mail.”

To mark its 30th anniversary, SM Entertainment will hold the “SMTOWN Live 2025” concert at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on January 11 and 12. Although Lee Soo Man, as the founder of SM, was invited as a gesture of respect, he will not be attending.

The event will feature SM artists and affiliated label performers, as well as artists like Tony An, Bada, and Hwanhee, who played a pivotal role in the early history of SM and K-pop.

The concert will kick off in Seoul and then continue with performances in Mexico City in May, Los Angeles in June, London in August, and Tokyo later in the year.
