Girls Generations’ Member Rumored To Have Joined Lee Soo Man’s New Agency

Girls’ Generation member Sunny has teamed up with her uncle, Lee Soo Man, the founder of SM Entertainment.

On April 7, A2O Entertainment, the new agency founded by Lee Soo Man, uploaded a video titled “A2O Trainees Summer Training Camp 2024 Highlights” on its official account.

The video features scenes from a trainee training camp held in the United States—and Sunny made a surprise appearance, drawing attention. She was seen sitting at the recording studio’s console box, directly directing the trainees. Dressed casually, she smiled warmly and generously offered advice and feedback to them.

Lee Soo Man left SM Entertainment in 2023 following the company’s “SM 3.0” restructuring and went on to establish A2O. After selling his SM shares to HYBE, he reportedly agreed to a non-compete clause that prevents him from producing music domestically for three years, so he’s been focusing on new projects mainly centered in China.

Sunny ended her exclusive contract with SM in August 2023 and had not made many public appearances since. With her recent appearance coaching trainees at A2O, speculation has grown that she may have officially joined Lee Soo Man’s new agency. Sunny is also known to be the youngest daughter of Lee Soo Young, the former Starworld CEO who produced S.E.S., and the older brother of Lee Soo Man.
