Beloved Korean Singer Sohyang Surprises With Divorce Announcement After 25 Years

Singer Sohyang has divorced after 25 years of marriage.

On September 3, her agency KQ Entertainment announced the news, stating, “Sohyang and her spouse have decided to support each other on their separate paths after sufficient discussion and mutual respect. The divorce was not due to fault on either side, but rather through mutual agreement.”

They added, “We ask that people refrain from distorted or reckless reports and comments. Our company will continue to provide full support so that Sohyang can focus on her music activities. We kindly ask for your continued support for her future endeavors.”

Sohyang married at the age of 20. Her former husband was a composer and music producer, and also known as the leader of the CCM group POS, which Sohyang had been active in.

In the past, Sohyang shared, “My husband was my first boyfriend, and I was his first girlfriend as well. He is very handsome. Honestly, I partly married him because of his looks. If my husband hadn’t been good-looking, I might have divorced him.”
