Netizen Accuses Kpop Idol Accused Of Being A Sponsor Of A HYBE Boy Group Member, She Denies The Rumors And Promises Strict Legal Action
The former member of the girl group DIA, singer An Somyi, has begun legal action regarding malicious rumors.
Recently, rumors about An Somyi went viral. The rumors in question claimed that An Somyi was the madam of a high-end entertainment establishment, ten-pro, and claims that she had financially supported male idol members in the past including one male idol from TWS.
As a result, An Somi’s agency released an official statement, saying, “On the 6thof May, an anonymous user on the online community DC Inside posted false claims about An Somyi, such as ‘ten-pro madam’ and ‘idol sponsorship,’ which are completely untrue. These are clear defamations of character and violations of her personal rights.”
They continued, “These rumors not only damage An Somyi’s reputation but also harm the reputations of third parties involved. We are taking this matter seriously and will be filing a lawsuit through our legal representatives, with strong legal actions to follow.”
The agency emphasized, “These claims are malicious fabrications, and although the post has been deleted, we have received multiple pieces of evidence from netizens.”
Modenberry Korea also stated, “An Somyi has never worked at a ten-pro establishment, and she has never met any of the specific idol members mentioned. We will not let this matter go lightly and will hold the responsible parties fully accountable.”
Meanwhile, despite the rumors, An Somyi is continuing her schedule with her agency as usual, and the agency plans to continue taking strong legal actions to protect the artist.
