The Biggest South Korean Football Player Reports Woman To Police For Blackmailing Him And Claiming To Be Pregnant With His Child, Agency Comments
South Korean football player Son Heung Min has made headlines recently after several reports from Korean media outlets went viral!
According to MBN’s recent report, Son Heung Min, captain of Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League, recently filed a police report after allegedly being blackmailed by a woman who claimed to be pregnant with his child.
The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul is reportedly currently investigating a woman in her 20s (referred to as Ms. A) and a man in his 40s (Mr. B) on charges of extortion.
It was initially reported that Son’s side claims Ms. A falsely stated she was pregnant with his child in June of last year and attempted to extort billions of won (worth hundreds of thousands of dollars).
Furthermore, it is said that the pair recently attempted to extort tens of millions of won more from the player.
Later, Son Heung Min’s agency issued an official statement regarding the ongoing case.
On May 15, Son Heung Min’s agency, Son and Football Limited, announced via its official website: “We have filed a criminal complaint for extortion with the police against individuals who have been threatening the player by saying they would spread false information. The police are currently investigating.”
Son Heung Min’s side stated, “We will take strong legal action without leniency so that those who attempted to blackmail the player with clearly false claims are held accountable. Son Heung Min is the clear victim in this case.”
They concluded by saying, “We apologize for causing concern due to this unfortunate incident.”
