Son Naeun Reveals Why She Missed Apink Bomi's Wedding

Actress Son Naeun has revealed why she wasn’t able to attend fellow Apink member Yoon Bomi’s wedding.

At a recent interview to mark the finale of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama “Agent Kim Reactivated,” Son Naeun was asked about missing Yoon Bomi’s wedding and explained the situation at the time.

Son Naeun said, “Filming for the drama was in its final stretch, and I had other schedules overlapping, so I wasn’t able to attend the wedding.” She continued, “Apink is a precious team I spent my teens and twenties with. Whenever something good happens to the members, I always want to celebrate with them, and my support for them as a fan hasn’t changed.”

She also spoke candidly about her current mindset as an actress. “Being a former idol is a precious part of my history that made me who I am today,” she said. “I think it’s my job to keep working hard to show an even better side of myself as an actress because of that.”

Yoon Bomi held a private wedding ceremony with composer Rado last May at the Grand Hyatt Seoul in Yongsan-gu. Park Cho Rong, Yoon Bomi, Jung Eun Ji, Kim Nam Joo, and Oh Ha Young, along with Hong Yoo Kyung, who left the group in 2013, all attended the wedding — but Son Naeun’s absence sparked curiosity among fans.

Son Naeun has also been the subject of repeated rumors of discord with her members since leaving the group. When she wasn’t able to take part in the group’s 10th anniversary activities in 2022, she directly addressed the rumors, saying, “It’s a shame I couldn’t join the 10th anniversary album activities, but please continue to love and support the members a lot.” However, when she was the only one absent from Oh Ha Young’s birthday gathering last year, speculation flared up again, and her absence from Yoon Bomi’s wedding only deepened the doubts.
