YG Idol To Serve Military Again After Suspended Verdict Becomes Final
WINNER’s Song Mino (33), whose guilty verdict for neglecting his duties as a social service agent has been finalized, will have to serve his remaining military duty again.
Recently, the Military Manpower Administration stated that Song Mino’s re-service has been decided as his first-instance verdict was finalized.
A Military Manpower Administration official explained, “We will comprehensively review the exact re-service period and place of service based on the written verdict, and then notify him of the re-service.”
Earlier, Song Mino was indicted on charges of leaving his workplace without permission for 102 days (a violation of the Military Service Act) while serving as a social service agent from March 2023 to December of the following year, and on October 1, he was sentenced in the first trial to 1 year in prison, suspended for 2 years.
As Song Mino did not appeal the first-instance verdict, the sentence was finalized as it was.
On October 9, he apologized through social media, saying, “I will faithfully carry out the remaining procedures and obligations.”
