The Popular Veteran Idol Who Surprisingly Revealed He Had Actually Broken Up With Girlfriend Last Year

Super Junior’s Shindong revealed that he has broken up with his publicly known girlfriend, last year!

On the April 1st broadcast of an SBS TVshow, Shindong stated, “Since things have been quiet lately, I want to say that we broke up in April last year. Since I didn’t mention the breakup, people kept commenting, asking if I got divorced, so I’m saying it now.”

When MC Lee Sang Min asked, “Didn’t you have a girlfriend during the last shoot?” Shindong replied, “I did at that time, but we broke up. We dated for a long time—three and a half years. We each had our own paths to follow, so we decided to support each other. I think it was a good breakup.”

Shindong previously acknowledged his relationship on January 1, 2023.

In a past appearance on the same TV show in January last year, he said, “There’s always a couple whose dating news breaks on January 1st. Back on December 31, 2022, their relationship (referring to IU and Lee Jong Suk) was revealed, and then my dating news was reported on January 1st. But all the comments were like, ‘Nobody cares.’”

Regarding his history of public relationships, Shindong commented, “It’s not that I wanted to reveal them—I just got caught every time. I’m not good at hiding things.” Eunhyuk agreed, saying, “Yeah, hyung doesn’t really try to hide it.”

Shindong added, “It’s partly because I don’t really care about hiding it, but I also just happen to get caught easily.”
