Beloved Idol-Actress Opens Up About Losing Her Mother And How She Deals With The Pain
Actress-idol Ham Eun Jung, of the group T-ara, revealed her feelings after losing her mother last year.
On the 11th of April, Ham Eun Jung released a new video to her YouTube channel.
When asked, “If I appear in a daily drama, more seniors will recognize me,” Ham Eun Jung responded, “Adults have been watching my acting. They know my acting growth, so getting their recognition is the hardest. My current goal is to get my mothers’ recognition.”
She also mentioned her mother, who passed away in November of last year. When asked if it would be difficult to film for content on YouTube after the passing of her mother, Ham Eun Jung said calmly, “A lot of people talk about that. Even the actors who are in dramas said the same thing. I met the actors a month after my mother passed away, and they said they were worried at first.” Ham Eun Jung said that she had a special relationship with her mother as an only child, and that they had plans to film content together.
Ham Eun Jung added, “I was filming a variety show in Vietnam when I heard the news of my mother’s passing. Most people would ask to get a flight quickly if something like that happened. I also wanted to do that in my heart, but I told the production team, ‘Please let me know what I need to do in Korea, and I will finish it before taking a flight.’ When I hear stories from people who have gone through the same thing, it’s the same. Work is work, and my mother’s matter is my mother’s matter. Since I also work and meet friends the same way, I actually feel a sense of stability. I’m trying to live.”
She continued, “When sadness comes, I become a surfer. But I can just be sad for a moment and then come down. Sadness will keep coming, but I just need to deal with it as it comes, and I have to live my life… It’s about accepting the sudden sadness well.”
Meanwhile, Ham Eun-jung will appear in the KBS2 drama ‘The Queen’s House’, which will premiere on the 28th.
