“Tastefully Yours” Ending Explained- Why Some Fans Were Upset By It

“Tastefully Yours” has ended its run last night, here is a recap of the finale and the ending explained!

“Tastefully Yours” episode 10 recap

The episode begins with the chairwoman welcoming a famous chief-in-editor of the competition show. The chosen medium is chicken. The squad realizes he came once to eat at their restaurant and see this as a good sign.

As the team searches for a dish, they now search for chickens and cannot find the specific kind they need. We find out that the chairwoman ordered them to halt some chicken distribution.

Sun-Woo comes by to the town and sees Yeon-Joo who decided not to go back in, he wants to talk to her, he explains why his brother is like that, he apologizes and leaves.

The judges, many of which are influencers, gather at both restaurants to taste the dishes as the production team films.

After serving the dishes, Young-Hye decides to quit.

As the production team leaves, Yeon-Joo comes and talks to Mr. Lee who also explains just how much Beom-Woo suffered under his mother and her hunger for success so much so that she missed her own mother’s funeral.

As the two judges move to the final place, they taste the food and as the chairwoman announces the results, she finds out that Jungjae won at 93 votes to 89 by Motto. She lies and tells the camera its a tie. The other judge is angry and leaves.

Yeon-Joo arrives as it ends and asks the chairwoman to taste her food and if she doesn’t like it, she can wipe out the place, steal the recipes and such.

Sun-Woo asks his brother for a drink, he wants to know why his brother is quitting and wants him to have everything. Beom-Woo asks if he’s happy living like that and tells him his mother did her best to the company but was it for them or herself.

As the morning comes, the chairwoman and her sons sit at the same table. Yeon-Joo serves them the dishes, homecooked meals and admits defeat. As the chairwoman bites into it, she realizes its one of her old recipes she did when she was young. She tastes it on camera, tells Yeon-Joo she enjoyed her antics and leaves.

The chairwoman asks the couple if they plan on opening somewhere else, they say yes even if she shuts this down, so she tells them to just stay opened.

After they leave, Yeon-Joo talks to Beom-Woo about how many chances she’s given him and how much more she’s willing to give him because she likes him. He hugs here and says I love you.

A while later

Young-Hye opens a food cart that isn’t doing well and Mr. Lee shows up, he believes in her abilities and wants to work with her after quitting his job.

Myung-Sook is doing a collab with Choon-Seung’s restaurant and her fav actor shows up [cameo by Park Ji Hoon]. Choon-Seung asks him where he went to school as he glares at him.

The chairwoman visits her mother’s resting place and sheds tears for the camera, but as they stop rolling, she tells her mother she’ll come by more often. Sun-Woo is unsure whether she’s changed or not.

Beom-Woo goes back to Jungjae and sees Yeon-Joo there working. They kiss. The end.
