The 13 Members Of SEVENTEEN All Renew Their Contracts For The 2nd Time
SEVENTEEN members have announced a renewal of their contract with their agency, concluding their seven-month world tour with an emotional finale.
SEVENTEEN held ‘SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] ENCORE’ at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on the 4th and 5th of April. It was a performance that wrapped up the world tour which began at the same venue last September. Including the encore concerts, they performed 31 times in 14 cities worldwide, attracting over 900,000 fans both online and offline.
The highlight was a surprise announcement on the last day of the concert. S.Coups said, “We will continue rowing together in the same boat,” revealing that they are about to renew their contract for the second time with HYBE Music Group’s label Pledis Entertainment. The venue instantly erupted with fans’ cheers. It was the moment when their earlier promise that “SEVENTEEN will do our best to stay close to eternity together as 13 members” became tangible.
SEVENTEEN cited CARAT (their fandom) as the biggest reason for renewing their contract, saying, “We want to tell everyone we love them. We will return soon as 13, so please wait a little longer. After a flower falls, an even stronger life is born. SEVENTEEN is the same. We will continue to work hard on unit and individual activities while always staying by CARAT’s side.”
Members Jeonghan and Wonwoo, currently fulfilling military service, cheered from the audience, showing strong unity.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN will continue active promotions with various performances.
