Popular Korean Music Show Is Reportedly Ending Its Run After 14 Years, Broadcasting Station Issues Response
Its been reported that SBS funE’s “The Show” will end its run this November!
On the 24th of October, Star News exclusively reported that SBS funE’s music program “The Show” will conclude with its final broadcast on November 11.
“The Show” is a music program aired every Tuesday on SBS funE, a cable channel under the SBS network, and first premiered in April 2011. More than 40 K-pop artists have served as MCs for the program over the years.
Usually, domestic music programs air their final episodes at the end of the year due to various festivals, events, and award ceremonies, and then resume broadcasting in the first half of the following year. “The Show” has followed this pattern as well. However, this time is different, media outlets have reported that it will end completely without resuming.
In response to the report, a source from SBS funE stated that while its true that November 11 broadcast will mark the end of this year’s season, it has not been decided whether this will mean the end for the program and stated they’re currently in the process of confirming their next step.
Many kpop fans are sad to learn that the show might end this fall.
