Twice Jihyo’s Sister Is Finally Making Her Debut in a HYBE Group

HYBE Music Group’s new label ABD has officially announced that its girl group TUIDE will make its debut with the mini album “TUNE & PLAY” at 6 p.m. on the 24th.

According to ABD, the album title “TUNE & PLAY” reflects the idea of tuning different musical languages into a single rhythm to create enjoyment. The agency explained, “It represents TUIDE’s ambition to present a new wave to the global market with sound that crosses boundaries of generation, culture, and language.”

Alongside the debut announcement, visuals for members Seohee, Seoyeon, Elena, Jia, Saki, Sea, and Lee Ha Neui were also revealed. Among the members, Seoyeon is known to be the younger sister of Twice’s Jihyo.

On the 2nd, TUIDE posted introduction photos and a video titled “Introductions: WE TUIDE” on their official SNS. The video showcased the group’s identity through a minimal beat layered with Korean, English, Japanese, and French. Made up entirely of teenagers born between 2006 and 2011, TUIDE consists of seven members with diverse cultural backgrounds spanning Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan.

Earlier, on the 1st and 2nd, TUIDE held a preview event called “PLAYGROUND” at Layer Studio 11 in Mapo-gu, Seoul, giving an early look at performances of five songs. The stages were performed with no prior information released, but the group’s polished live vocals and performances still caught the attention of those in attendance.
