Member Of Famous Kpop Girl Group Reveals She Had To Extract A Tooth During Tour, Raising Concerns Of Overwork
TWICE memberMomo revealed that she had a tooth extraction during the group’s world tour, raising concerns among fans.
Momo recently shared through a fan communication platform, “I suddenly had to get a tooth extracted in Chicago. It hasn’t been long since the extraction, so the left side of my face is still swollen. Please understand even if it looks swollen.”
She explained that during the Chicago concert, she suffered from severe tooth pain and couldn’t even sleep, and visited a local dentist the next day. She was diagnosed that a previously treated (root canal) area had worsened, but due to the tour schedule, it was difficult for her to return to Korea for treatment.
In the end, Momo decided to proceed with extraction in order to continue the tour. She said, “Originally, it wasn’t to the point of needing extraction, but I didn’t have time. I had to perform, so after much consideration at the dentist, I decided to remove it. I really didn’t want to, but I had no choice. I think I’ll have to get an implant once I return to Korea.”
After the news spread, fans responded with concern, saying things like“She must have been in so much pain to go as far as extraction,” “It’s unfortunate she couldn’t get proper treatment during the tour,” and “Her health should come first.”
Meanwhile, TWICE has been on their sixth world tour “THIS IS FOR” since July last year, starting in Incheon and traveling across Japan, Southeast Asia, the Americas, and Europe to meet global fans.
However, concerns have been growing due to ongoing health issues among members. Dahyun previously paused activities due to an ankle fracture, and Chaeyoung also missed some schedules due to health conditions. With Momo’s tooth extraction added, fans are increasingly worried about the demanding tour schedule.
