USPEER’s Contract With Their Agency Ends After Less Than 6 Months Of Debut, Why?
The group USPEER’s exclusive contract with WM Entertainment has come to an end.
On the 6th of June, WM Entertainment stated, “As of December 31 last year, the exclusive contract between USPEER and our company has ended.”
WM Entertainment said, “USPEER is a team that was prepared over a long period of time at WM with a great deal of effort and affection. Rather than the company’s interests, we have held discussions while prioritizing USPEER’s long-term growth and potential for development.”
They continued, “After sufficient discussions with CEO Lee Won Min, who was in charge of producing USPEER, we have smoothly concluded consultations regarding the exclusive contract and trademark rights. Even after the termination of our contract, we plan to maintain a close cooperative relationship and provide full support so the members can continue their activities smoothly, and we will cheer on USPEER’s leap forward as they grow as artists.”
USPEER is a seven-member girl group consisting of Yeo Won, So Yi, Si An, Seo Yu, Da On, Chae Na, and Roa. They were introduced by WM Entertainment, the agency that discovered B1A4, Oh My Girl, ONF, and Lee Chae Yeon, as their first girl group in about 10 years since Oh My Girl. After founder and CEO Lee Won Min left the company, WM Entertainment ended exclusive contracts with USPEER following B1A4.
