Several Rising Kpop Idols Announce Hiatus From Group Activities, Fans Suspect They’re Joining This Mnet’s Survival Show
Several kpop idols are taking a break from their group activities. These back to back announcements by different agencies have fans believing these idols might be joining Mnet’s upcoming boy group audition program.
On May 9, members from VERIVERY and DKB have announced hiatus from their groups activities. Jellyfish Entertainment released a statement to announce that Dongheon, Gyehyeon and Kangmin are halting activities in their group starting May 11. The agency does not clarify whats happening but asks for fans’ understanding regarding the announcement.
DKB’s agency also announced the hiatus of Harry June and Heechan starting May 10 and stated its because of “personal circumstances.” Thus, DKB will proceed with activities as a five-member group for the time being.
Due to the timings of both announcement on the same day, many fans of both groups are now debating whether it means that these idols will be appearing on Mnet’s upcoming audition program “Boys II Planet.”
Interestingly, if confirmed to be true, this will be VERIVERY 2nd appearance on a survival show after “Road To Kingdom” since 2020.
