Fans are expressing concern for Red Velvet‘s Wendy after a fancam from the group’s recent fan concert showed her looking emaciated, sparking worry over her health.

Wendy’s group Red Velvet held their “2026 Red Velvet FAN-CON ‘A Day in Red & Velvet'” at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seoul from July 31 to August 2, meeting with fans across the run.

Held ahead of Red Velvet’s comeback as a full group, the concert sold out completely, with a set list that included hits like “Dumb Dumb,” “Bad Boy,” “RBB (Really Bad Boy),” and “Psycho,” along with a range of other tracks such as “Huff N Puff,” “Blue Lemonade,” and “Hit That Drum.”

In particular, the “Bulldozer” stage was performed publicly for the first time at the fan concert, and a fan-shot fancam of Wendy’s performance has since drawn attention across online communities and social media.

In the footage, Wendy performed in a black halter top with sheer lace detailing paired with slim-fit pants. Rather than her usual bright and refreshing image, she brought a hip, powerful aura to the stage, showing off restrained yet commanding charisma through intense, rhythmic choreography and gestures — though her emaciated frame was hard for fans to ignore.

The comments under the footage were filled with concern over how thin Wendy appeared. Fans wrote reactions including, “I’m so worried,” “What did I just watch,” “I want to see her looking healthy for a long time,” “It looks like she’s lost so much weight that even her muscle is gone,” “If she looks like that on camera, I can’t even imagine how thin she actually is,” and “Wendy’s always been slim, but she used to have muscle too. Now it’s just bones. I wish someone close to her would say something.”

Wendy’s dieting and body management have long drawn attention. In 2017, she appeared on a variety show and said, “There’s no diet I haven’t tried. Once I turn 40, I’m going to eat whatever I want without limit.” On a separate web show, she also shared her routine, saying, “When I wake up in the morning, I drink water and take supplements first. My body responds well to fasted morning runs, so I wear sweats and run on the treadmill. At noon or 1 p.m., I always go to Pilates without fail.”

Meanwhile, Red Velvet will release their summer mini album “Velvet Summer” across music platforms on August 3 at 6 p.m.
