Will The 2025 MAMA Awards Be Held As Planned? The Production Company Issues Official Response

Due to the large fire disaster that occurred in a high-rise apartment complex in Hong Kong, the 2025 MAMA Award, whose hosting was uncertain, announced that it will be held as scheduled.

The 2025 MAMA Awards was scheduled to be held on the 29th and 30th at Hong Kong Kai Tak Stadium. However, right before the hosting, a fire disaster occurred in Hong Kong, with at least 44 people reported dead and 279 missing, as the human casualties increased uncontrollably.

Initially, the production company behind the award ceremony stated they’re holding an emergency meeting to decide on whether the award ceremony will go as planned, since the disaster happened a day before the event was scheduled to take place.

On November 27, The 2025 MAMA Awards conveyed its official statement and said, “By adding the message ‘Support Hong Kong,’ we will prepare a time to share the sorrow together and mourn, and we want to add strength through donations to support the victims.”
