Popular YG Idol Reported To Have Been In A Minor Car Accident Last Month
WINNER member Song Mino was revealed to have been involved in a car accident last month.
According to a report by Maeil Business Star Today on the 4th of July, Song Mino was in a taxi on June 14 when the accident occurred near Dapsimni Station in Yongdap-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul.
Although the accident was not major, it is said that Song Mino still visited the hospital as a precaution against any possible aftereffects.
Since debuting with WINNER in August 2014, Song Mino has been loved for hit songs such as “Empty,” “REALLY REALLY,” and “EVERYDAY.” He also gained attention as the runner-up on Mnet’s “Show Me the Money 10” and made a name for himself in variety shows like “New Journey to the West.”
He began his alternative military service as a public service worker in March 2023 and was discharged on December 23 of the same year. However, he was embroiled in controversy for allegedly not reporting to work properly toward the end of his service.
After receiving a request from the Military Manpower Administration, police launched an investigation and referred Song Mino to the Seoul Western District Prosecutors’ Office without detention on May 22. He reportedly admitted to leaving his post during working hours during police questioning.
Meanwhile, WINNER will be holding a solo concert on July 26 and 27 at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Seoul. The performance will proceed with the three remaining members—Kang Seung Yoon, Kim Jin Woo, and Lee Seung Hoon—without Song Mino.
