TRENDING: YG Shockingly Shuts Down Its Actor Division Terminating Contracts With Over 20 Famous Actors And Actress
YG Entertainment has officially announced its decision to exit the actor management business. In a move to focus on its core music operations, the company will restructure its business model and end its actor management services.
YG stated, “We sincerely thank all the actors who have worked with us and the fans who have shown immense love. We will provide full support until the very end.”
The agency currently represents over 20 actors, including Kim Hee Ae, Cha Seung Won, Yoo Seung Ho, Yoo In Na, Jung Hye Young, Lee Soo Hyuk, Son Na Eun, Han Seung Yeon, Claudia Kim (Soo Hyun), Lee Sung Kyung, Jang Ki Yong, and Joo Woo Jae. YG confirmed to DongA.com that it will continue to support its contracted actors until their contracts naturally expire, ensuring an amicable transition.

The company explained that it has been steadily preparing for this shift to focus on music. Last year, YGX was absorbed into YG’s global training center, and the in-house producer team was expanded from around 10 members to over 50, strengthening its production capabilities.

Currently, YG is home to artists such as WINNER, AKMU, BABYMONSTER, TREASURE, and Eun Ji Won. While BLACKPINK members are affiliated with individual agencies for their solo endeavors, the group continues its activities under YG.
YG commented, “We have consistently worked on restructuring our business to focus on our core operations. We see 2025 as the inaugural year where these efforts will bear fruit. Along with sustaining our existing IPs, we are accelerating efforts to discover and nurture new IPs. By strengthening our core capabilities and maintaining our leadership in the music industry, we aim to write a new chapter of growth for YG.”
