Two New Groups By YG Coming Soon, Yang Hyun Suk Announces, Plus BABYMONSTER And TREASURE Comebacks
Yang Hyun Suk of YG Entertainment has announced that two brand new groups are being prepared for debut, while also sharing new music plans from BABYMONSTER and TREASURE in a written update.
In his message to fans, Yang Hyun Suk said, “It’s been about five months since I last reached out to you.” He explained, “I’ve usually shared updates about our artists through YG ANNOUNCEMENT videos, but with a busy production schedule, I’m reaching out in writing this time.”
BABYMONSTER Returns With “DESERVE” On October 23
BABYMONSTER will release a new digital single, “DESERVE,” on October 23. It will be their first new song in approximately four months, following “SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA.”
Yang Hyun Suk described the song, saying, “Although ‘DESERVE’ is a slower-paced song, it carries an intensity unlike anything BABYMONSTER has released before.” He added, “Combining BABYMONSTER’s delicate vocals with their explosive vocal power, the song builds to an emotional climax.”
He also revealed the group’s next plans, saying, “We are currently aiming to release BABYMONSTER’s next album early next year.”
TREASURE Drops “SHOCK” On November 2
TREASURE will release a new digital single, “SHOCK,” on November 2, featuring a powerful hip-hop sound.
Yang Hyun Suk recalled that the group explored a variety of hip-hop styles through their mini album “NEW WAV” in June. He explained, “With ‘NEW WAV’ marking the beginning of their second chapter, TREASURE has been making its biggest changes in musical direction.”
He added, “As TREASURE moves into 2027 with ‘SHOCK’ and the full-scale activities of their second chapter, I hope you’ll continue to look forward to what’s ahead and show them your love and support.”
Two New Groups Preparing To Debut
On the new groups, Yang Hyun Suk said, “We are currently preparing to debut two new groups: a five-member boy group and a four-member girl group.”
He stated, “Alongside TREASURE and BABYMONSTER, these two groups will play an important role in shaping YG’s future, and I am personally doing everything I can to ensure they are fully prepared.”
Regarding the timeline, he shared, “Both groups plan to record a number of demo songs we’ve been working on by the end of this year. Once their title tracks are finalized, we expect to have a clearer timeline for their debuts.”
Yang Hyun Suk promised more news, saying, “I’ll be back toward the end of this year with another YG ANNOUNCEMENT video, bringing you more exciting updates and good news.” He ended by thanking fans, saying, “To all our fans around the world, thank you from the bottom of my heart for always believing in YG artists and patiently waiting for us.”
