Popular Korean Actor Was Not Able To Call His Mother “Mom” In The Past, Shares Heartbreaking Reason Why
Actor Yoon Si Yoon has opened up about the heartbreaking family history of not being able to call his mother “mom” in the past.
At the end of the SBS program “My Ugly Duckling,” aired on the 10th of August, Yoon Si Yoon’s story of traveling to Mongolia with his mother was featured.
When a woman in a white dress approached and Yoon Si Yoon smiled and called her “mom,” the studio was abuzz. The cast members were surprised at how young his mother looked and expressed envy over their Mongolian trip.
While enjoying the scenery of Mongolia, Yoon Si Yoon’s mother shouted, “Si Yoon, I love you, my son,” and the two were later shown having a one-on-one conversation.
Yoon Si Yoon began by saying, “(My mother) had to work because of me as soon as she became an adult, and she became a mom at a young age.”
His mother expressed her regret, saying, “Because I became a mom so young, I don’t even know when you first started walking,” revealing that she hadn’t been able to witness much of his early growth.
She then added, “In front of guests, I told you not to call me mom,” to which Yoon Si Yoon recalled never properly calling her “mom” during his childhood, confessing, “As a child, that really hurt me.”
His mother said tearfully, “I’m truly so sorry to you. I still am,” and Yoon Si Yoon comforted her.
Born in 1986, Yoon Si Yoon recently joined “My Ugly Duckling” and previously revealed his process of losing 10 kg for the filming of SBS drama “Taxi Driver 3.”
