Zhang Hao, Ricky, Kim Gyuvin, and Han Yujin’s Agency Issues Vague Statement About The Members’ Future After ZEROBASEONE’s Contract Expiry, Fans Confused
As group ZEROBASEONE prepares to wrap up full-group activities this March, members Zhang Hao, Ricky, Kim Gyuvin, and Han Yujin’s agency has released a statement that left fans puzzled.
On January 12, the four members’ agency YH Entertainment stated, “As of January 12, 2026, our company and Zhang Hao, Ricky, Kim Gyuvin, and Han Yujin have decided, based on mutual trust, to take time to calmly prepare for their future paths.”
The agency explained, “We are carefully reviewing various directions and continuing step-by-step preparations so that the artists can fully showcase their individual abilities and potential.”
They added, “As there may not be many official updates to share for some time, this may be a period of waiting, but we will do our best to return and greet you again with more mature and shining. We ask for fans’ generous understanding and continued support.”
The agency also noted, “We will spare no support on our end to ensure that ZEROBASEONE’s remaining special activities and encore concerts proceed smoothly.”
The agency’s statement read as extremely vague, which prompted various reactions from fans who still don’t understand what it means for the future of the members in the group itself.
ZEROBASEONE is a nine-member project group formed through the Mnet audition program “Boys Planet,” which aired in 2023, and officially debuted in July of the same year. Since debut, they have achieved six consecutive million-seller albums and expanded their presence on global charts such as Billboard in the U.S. and Oricon in Japan.
Originally, ZEROBASEONE’s exclusive contract period was approximately two years and six months, with activities scheduled to end in January 2026. However, all members agreed to extend the activity period by two months, and as a result, they will continue full-group activities until March.
