Unknown Singer Rises To The Top Of Melon Real Time Chart Attracting Sajaegi Accusations, Agency Denies
Singer ZO ZAZZ has strongly denied rumors of chart manipulation [Sajaegi] after his song climbed to the top of charts despite being an unknown singer.
On the 3rd of March, ZO ZAZZ’s agency, Brotherhood Entertainment, released an official statement, saying, “We have confirmed the spread of false information, defamation, and other related posts, and we are considering legal action regarding this matter.”
The agency further stated, “Fabricating untrue content or generating and spreading baseless rumors based on unverified claims is a clear illegal act. If this continues, we will take firm legal action without any leniency or settlements. Let us be clear—chart manipulation is illegal and a crime. Our company has never engaged in such practices.”
ZO ZAZZ’s debut single, “Do You Not Know? (PROD. Rocoberry),” released last month, ranked No. 1 on YouTube Music’s daily chart in Korea as of the 22nd of February. The song also peaked at No. 2 on Melon’s real-time chart and No. 3 on the Top 100 chart while securing spots on the daily and weekly rankings. Additionally, it reached No. 1 on Genie’s real-time chart and Kakao Music’s real-time chart.
