This member from the Kpop group has complained about their lengthy hiatus intensifying the complaints fans have had with HYBE’s management of the group.
Recently, fromis_9’ Chaeyoung held a live broadcast on Weverse, one of the things she mentioned attracted immense attention among fans. During the live broadcast, she said, “Why are we the only ones who have to wait a long time to be active? Why only fromis_9? It’s so upsetting.”
This adds to fans’ frustrations with the group’s management despite being under the biggest Korean entertainment label HYBE.
fromis_9 used to be co-managed by Off the Record and Stone Music. However, in August of 2021, PLEDIS Entertainment began serving as the management company for the group, and PLEDIS has since been criticized for not capitalizing on the group’s rising popularity or talent.
Many fans had been discussing the topic online mentioning how the group is often absent from many events organized by HYBE artists, and how they are not properly promoted by PLEDIS.
With one of the members openly speaking about the group’s lengthy hiatus, fans have been growing even more vocal demanding activities for the group.
Meanwhile, fromis_9 is a South Korean girl group formed by CJ E&M through the 2017 reality show Idol School and consists of 8 members.
