Following the confirmation of Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung and actor Jung Kyung Ho ending their 14-year relationship, past eyewitness accounts from Hong Seok Cheon’s restaurant are being revisited.

The two publicly confirmed their relationship in 2012 and had been together for 14 years. According to MyDaily, they recently drifted apart due to increasingly busy schedules and naturally decided to break up.

On the same day, Sooyoung’s agency and Jung Kyung Ho’s agency also acknowledged the news, stating, “It is true that the two have broken up. They have decided to remain good colleagues.” Many people expressed sadness over the end of their 14-year relationship, and past comments made by Hong Seok Cheon about the couple at his restaurant have resurfaced.

Hong Seok Cheon previously appeared on Channel A’s “Men Who Do Housework – Marriage Skills” and mentioned Sooyoung and Jung Kyung Ho.

He jokingly said to Sooyoung’s older sister Choi Soo Jin, “How are Sooyoung and Jung Kyung Ho doing? They always come to our restaurant and exchange rings as gifts.” Choi Soo Jin responded, “They are doing very well. They constantly exchange gifts. They’ve already been dating for 12 years. Even I sometimes feel like I should be upset, but they never fight and seem to have such a good relationship.”
