After Surprising Fans With Their Wedding Announcement, Beloved Kdrama Couple Confirms They’re Expecting A Baby
Another piece of good news has arrived as actress Cha Kyung Eun announced her marriage to Lee Yoo Jin. A precious new life has come to the couple.
According to Donga.com’s reporting on October 6, Cha Kyung Eun is currently in the early stages of pregnancy, adding the joy of becoming an expectant mother ahead of her wedding. As it is early in her pregnancy, Cha Kyung Eun plans to put her health and stability first as she carefully continues preparing for the wedding.
In response to the report, representatives for both actors confirmed on October 6, “While preparing for the wedding after deciding to marry and receiving the blessings of both families, they recently learned that Cha Kyung Eun is expecting.”
Earlier on October 6, Lee Yoo Jin’s agency announced that Lee Yoo Jin and Cha Kyung Eun will hold their wedding at a location in Seoul on November 14. The wedding will be private, with only both families and close acquaintances attending.
Cha Kyung Eun personally shared her thoughts on the marriage through her SNS. She said, “Building a happy family was my biggest goal for a long time, and I’ve met a precious connection and am making a new start,” adding, “Going forward, I’ll try to show good sides of myself both as a good actress and as a person building a family.”
Cha Kyung Eun first formed a connection with Lee Yoo Jin through his first directorial work, “Cast Me When You See a Way!” The two felt an attraction toward each other while preparing for the project, and began officially dating with marriage in mind from this past June, after filming wrapped. Based on deep trust and conviction in each other, they then decided to marry and received the blessing of both families.
Lee Yoo Jin, born in 1992, debuted in 2013 with the MBC drama “Jung Yi, Goddess of Fire.” He has appeared in “Age of Youth 2,” “Familiar Wife,” “Be Melodramatic,” “Do You Like Brahms?,” and “Three Bold Siblings,” as well as films including “Two Men,” “Dad Is Daughter,” and “I’ll Go Meet You Now.” This year he also expanded into directing, taking part in ENA’s short drama directing competition program “Directors Arena” this past May and finishing in 2nd place overall with “Cast Me When You See a Way!”
Cha Kyung Eun, born in 1998, debuted in 2021 with the short film “Peach” and rose to fame after starring in the web drama “PICKGO.” She was also a regular crew member on Coupang Play’s “SNL Korea Reboot Season 7.”
With pregnancy following their marriage news, the couple now stands at the start of a new chapter as both husband and wife and expectant parents.
Meanwhile, Cha Kyung Eun’s older sister, actress Kim Seung Yoon, is also getting married this fall. Her groom-to-be is actor Jang Dong Yoon, and the two will hold a private wedding ceremony in October.
