Choi Tae Joon Sweetly Mentions His Wife Park Shin Hye During Acceptance Speech At The 2024 KBS Drama Awards
Actor Choi Tae Joon expressed his affection for his wife, Park Shin Hye.
On the 11th of January, the “2024 KBS Drama Awards” was hosted by broadcaster Jang Sung Kyu and actors Seohyun and Moon Sang Min. The awards ceremony, originally scheduled for a live broadcast on December 31 last year, was canceled due to the Jeju Air plane crash and was instead pre-recorded.
The Best Supporting Actor award went to Choi Tae Joon for “Iron Family” and Kim Yong Gun for “Dog Talk,” who received it jointly.
Choi Tae Joon referenced Kim Yong Gun’s earlier acceptance speech, saying, “As senior Kim Yong Gun said, being able to meet a good project is truly a blessing. I’m grateful to the drama production team,” and shared his gratitude.
He continued, “Through ‘Iron Family,’ I feel like I’ve gained amazing colleagues. It made me happy to go to the set every day, and I hope we can complete it well together. There are so many people to thank. I want to mention every name, but as I’m up here, I can’t seem to recall them all. I promise to contact each one later.”
Choi Tae Joon added, “Still, there’s one person I must not forget. Park Shin Hye, who always inspires me to strive to be a better person despite my shortcomings—thank you sincerely.” He concluded by expressing appreciation for his parents, saying, “My parents always pray so much for me. I miss them and thank them. I’ll work to become a better actor.”

Meanwhile, Choi Tae Joon married actress Park Shin Hye, who is one year his senior, in 2022 after four years of dating. The couple has a son together.
